Vital Speeches of the Day is a monthly collection of the best speeches and addresses in the world presented in full. From Franklin Roosevelt to Ronald Reagan, from Mahatma Gandhi to Lady Gaga, they’ve published every thoughtful, useful, inspiring or provocative speech they’ve gotten their hands on for more than three quarters of a century, because Vital Speeches of the Day staff still believe in founder Thomas Daly’s belief that “it is only in the unedited and unexpurgated speech that the view of the speaker is truly communicated to the reader,” which is why we print all speeches in full. And we continue to follow the mission to “represent the best thoughts of the best minds on current national and international issues.” Covers education, government, current events, history, economics, business and commerce, social progress, and politics.

The Wired mission is to tell the world something they've never heard before in a way they've never seen before. It's about turning new ideas into everyday reality. It's about seeding our community of influencers with the ideas that will shape and transform our collective future. Wired readers want to know how technology is changing the world, and they're interested in big, relevant ideas, even if those ideas challenge their assumptions—or blow their minds; they're generally familiar with computers and the Internet, but this is definitely not a computer magazine—Wired won't teach you how to upgrade your RAM. Instead, it's a magazine about science, art, adventure, online culture, business, philosophy... and bright shiny beautiful gadgets.

Here is how: 1) Insert the cartridge in your Library of Congress digital player. 2) Press and hold the green Play/Stop key until you hear "Bookshelf". 3) Press the Rewind or Fast Forward arrow keys to find the magazine you want. 4) Press the Play/Stop key again to listen to that issue. These magazines issues due dates vary on type of magazine (if a cartridge contains all weekly magazines, your due date is three weeks past time of arrival; and if there are monthly magazines on a cartridge then your due date is extended to seven weeks past arrival date.
