H.W. Wilson Announces New Database: Current Issues in Health

This September the H.W. Wilson Company plans to unveil Current Issues in Health, a new database modeled after the winning format and editorial approach of their Current Issues: Reference Shelf Plus product.

Current Issues in Health will offer thorough information, in collections of articles hand-picked by Wilson editors. The database will encourage independent exploration and provide updated information, in new and related articles from thousands of publications.

This practical resource is designed to meet educational and research needs at public, school, and college libraries-including the needs of vocational students preparing for careers in health care.

Highlights will include:

  • More than 50 topics to start, with 20 added to the database each year

  • Some 30 full text articles per topic, hand-picked by Wilson editors to ensure thorough, unbiased coverage

  • Features a wide range of leading sources, from peer-reviewed journals to popular newsstand magazines

  • Links to primary sources and helpful web sites enhance topic coverage

  • PDF page images deliver all the illustrations, charts, graphs, and other graphical content essential to research

  • Links to automatic WilsonWeb searches expand on and update each topic
