2026 E-rate Recipients

Nebraska Libraries Receive E-rate Discounts

E-rate funding commitments are released weekly as applications are reviewed and approved for Funding Year 2026 (July 1, 2026-June 30, 2027). The list below will be updated as new funding waves are announced.

As of August 27, 2026 Nebraska libraries have been awarded $300,246.13 in discounts on their Internet access and Internal Connections costs.

Discounts range from 40 to 90 percent, with 75 of the state's public libraries participating: 74 libraries have been awarded discounts on Internet services and 3 libraries have been awarded discounts on Internal Connections.

Discounts are awarded on a sliding scale based on the percentage of students in the local school district who are eligible for the free and reduced school lunch program, an indicator of the local level of need, and the County's Rural or Urban status as determined by the U.S. Census.  

The Nebraska Library Commission provides education, training, and consultation services to Nebraska public library staff to assist with E-rate applications.
